TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2: OUT OF THE SHADOWS

TRAILER FEEDBACK

TMNT is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. It was also the first movie I watched in a cinema hall (the 1990 version).

I was pumped up when they announced the Reboot of the TMNT series in 2014 but was left a bit disappointed with the content. I mean don’t get me wrong ,the gist of the story was there but the way it was told left me a little disappointed. I mean the entire mutagen backstory for the turtles was cool and original. But the origin of the of Splinter’s story was not original and that left me a bit peeved.

But I still went ahead and watched it (the fanboy in me) and found it watchable. I also marked the hell out when the catchphrase “COWABUNGA” was uttered and also when I saw the damn turtle van at the end.

The First movie was unlucky to have released with the super duper smash hit Guardians of the Galaxy, else the box office performance would have been much bigger than it was. IT was a Hit nevertheless and a sequel was commissioned. When the said there was going to be a sequel, I did not have much expectation.

But after watching the trailer, I was excited once again and cannot wait to watch the movie. The moment I saw Bebop and Rocksteady, I was marking the hell out. It looked that they were heading on the right track, from the foot soldiers to the Shredder and even Casey Jones. It looked perfect. Hell, even Dr. Baxter stockman was there (Tyler Perry).

But the ice cream on the cake, the cream of the crop, the coup de grace was KRANG….I mean KRANG!!!!!!The main Villain in the cartoon, the damn brainy creature with the Android Body. That was just perfect.

Now I only hope that they did not show all the best parts in the trailer.

TMNT 2 …Coming soon to your nearest cinema in July 2016!!!!!!

FEED Back at the MOVIES - KUNG FU PANDA 3

FEED Back at the MOVIES

KUNG FU PANDA 3

This is the 3^rd installation of this animated action comedy starring Po the panda. The first movie was all about Po’s almost accidental appointment as the so called Dragon Warrior, in which he somehow succeeds and defeats Tai Long (the villain of the first movie). Then came Lord Shen, the Crazy and insecure Peacock warlord who was hell bent on destroying Kungfu. Po Finds his inner peace and defeats him as well. Now comes his biggest test yet, pitted against a villain on par with the Great master Oogway (Po’s grandmaster), A Villain who is an immortal spirit that has captured the Energy of all the Kung Fu masters in China. Will PO succeed? Or will he have help?

Well, to be honest, this installment has definitely has surpassed its predecessors in terms of content and execution. It was well worth a wait.

The Story is basically about a “Chi” Hungry Warlord named Kai who is trapped in the spirit world by The Grand Master Oogway. When Oogway himself finally descends to the Spirit World (based on the events from the 1^st movie), Kai returns to face him one last time. He is boosted by the many Chi’s he has captured from other great spirits. Oogway takes him on but alas is defeated and has his Chi captured.

By Capturing Oogway, Kai finally manages to return to the Living world. He then hunts down all the Kungfu Masters and captures their Chi. Po meanwhile, meets his real father (who left a secret panda village to find him). While Po follows his father to the village (to learn how to use the power of Chi),the Chi’s of Master Shifu,Mantis,Crane,Monkey and Viper are all captured.

Tigress escapes to Alert Po as Kai also begins his journey to find the secret Panda Village,to find and capture the Chi’s of Po and all the other Panda’s.Will Kai succeed? Will Po manage to defeat this super powerful villain all by himself?

To find out, you will have to go and watch the movie yourself because this installation is definitely the best of the series. The Visual Effects are fantastic as is the humour. There are many instances in the movie that will definitely evoke laughter.

What I also like is the content, there is more depth in the story this time around. This movie also is linked beautifully to the first and second movie therefore making it a Perfect Continuation of the series.

In A Whole, Kung Fu Panda 3 a Perfect Entertainment package and a perfect Sequel.

Well the weight is indeed over Folks.

RISE RED DEVILS RISE

What Should Manchester United’s best XI now till the end of the season.

3 victories in a row says something doesn’t it? Manchester United have responded to the rumors of their Demise and have bounced back in style.

They have done this sort of thing in patches this season but were never this convincing. From having no choice but to play the youngsters, to  having a mammoth Injury list, Louis Van Gaal Must be having his most dramatic season ever in his entire managerial career.

He has responded, he has fought back. We have also seen him ditch the all possession game for a more direct attacking game. Whether Ryan Giggs has influence on this or not, we would not know but if he did then Giggs has one hell of a chance to succeed LVG as the new Gaffer.

Now, In My Humble Opinion,

LVG should start this team as this is the strongest and most effective team as of now.

Formation: 4-2-1-3

GK: David De Gea

RB: Guile Varela

LB: Cameron-Bothwick Jackson

CB: Chris Smalling

CB: Phil Jones (If Fit)/ Marcos Rojo

MF: Morgan Schneirdelin

MF: Ander Herrera

AM :Juan Mata

ST :Memphis Depay

ST :Anthony Martial

ST : Marcus Rashford

                                            DE GEA

VARELA           SMALLING         ROJO       B-JACKSON

               SCHNEIRDERLIN           HERRERA

                                               MATA

      RASHFORD                MARTIAL           MEMPHIS

LVG May very well use this formation at some point of time as this contains the best line up we have at the moment with the limited resources.

If this works and we go unbeaten all season, we might have a shout at the 4^th place (For CL) and even may win the EUROPA LEAGUE and FA CUP.

David De Gea

The best GK in the League did what he does best, 2 Fantastic saves from Ighalo proves how much of an influence he has in the team. Watford managed to bully the 3rd string Utd defence but could not find a way past the mercurial Spaniard. Deservingly took Over the Captain’s Armband after Mata was substituted.

Guille Varela

After 2 turbo charged performances, the physical nature of the Watford team set up meant that he would struggle to cope. This was evident in the first half where he was struggling a little. However, he picked himself up and gave a much improved performance in the 2^nd Half.

Timothy Fonsu Mensah

A full League debut for the Youngster. Struggled very badly against the physical stature of Deeney and Ighalo. Was sometimes outmuscled easily. Had to endure a difficult 25mts and earned himself a place in the referee’s book. However after the brilliant challenge on Deeney, his confidence improved and he put on a steady performance from then on. Needs an experienced CB Partner to guide and cover for him.

Daley Blind

One of the Worst Performances in a Man UTD Shirt. Made sloppy passes, got outmuscled/outjumped and pushed aside by Deeney and Ighalo numerous times. IS not a Proper CB and that was evident here. Plenty of times he left Fonsu-Mensah struggling alone against either Deeney or Ighalo. Needs to be dropped or moved to midfield when Smalling and Jones return.

Marcos Rojo

Improved performance and was much more efficient going forward. However he needs to be more aware of the oppositions positioning. Sometimes was found wanting after an overlap. His combo with Memphis was good although the end product could have been better.

Morgan Schneiderlin

Tidy Performance, Could have made stronger tackles in the middle of the park. Needs to improve on his marking as well. However he had a magnificent attempt on the Watford Goal and was unlucky not to score. By far an important holding midfielder that should not be dropped.

Ander Herrera

One of his lackluster performances. Looked a bit leggy at times and gave the ball away many times. Did not press that much in the first half. 2nd half was a much improved, he looked much better on the ball. Needs to be more consistent if he wants to remain in the first team.

Juan Mata

What a Performance by The Captain for the day. Mata has shown Van Gaal what he can do when he plays in his best position. Fantastic Goal by him and that’s how a free kick should be executed.Magnificent.Hope he maintains this kind of form until the end of the season.

Anthony Martial

Will give him a benefit of a doubt because he’s just coming back from an injury. Should have distributed the ball better when he gets into dangerous positions. Played better when moved into the middle of the strike force. Won the free kick that led to the goal .Looks to be forming a good understanding with Depay and Rashford.

Memphis Depay

Better, much better from the mercurial Dutchman.Begining to feel confident of his abilities and is also beginning to adapt to the English game. He needs to improve on his distribution though.

Marcus Rashford

Not So much of an impact this time around. His overall game however has improved. Was moved wide right in the 2^nd half and his performance peaked. Was giving the Watford LB a torrid time. Had 2 good efforts saved. Seems to be forming a good understanding with Depay and Martial.

Substitutes

Matteo Darmian

Replaced Rojo .Nothing much done except for the usual running and chasing. Needs to improve as Varela seems to be stubborn in letting go of the RB spot.

Jesse Lingard

Injected more tempo and urgency into the game. Came in for Herrera.

Paddy Mcnair

Substituted the Hero Juan Mata. Did what was told, which was to help out the defence.

THE LAST ROLL OF THE DICE FOR LVG-WILL THE FALLEN DEVILS RISE AGAIN?

THE LAST ROLL OF THE DICE FOR LVG,

WILL THE FALLEN DEVILS RISE AGAIN?

Two weeks ago, Louis Van Gaal’s head was on the chopping block after a run of embarrassing defeats. What does he do ?. He went on and did what he does best, Put faith in the youngsters and take a final gamble to save his job. He did not have much of a choice anyway as 15 plus first Team Players were injured.

picture courtesy of https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj8spad_6rLAhWV1I4KHRQEAYUQjB0IBg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.express.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2F513464%2FI-ve-done-my-homework-Man-Utd-boss-LVG-knows-EVERYTHING-about-Leicester&psig=AFQjCNF8Gg-Zj22A9WT1SuoOt5rKmZetag&ust=1457317048446580

Not only did LVG take a gamble on the youngsters, it appears that he is beginning to seek counsel from Ryan Giggs and has dropped his stubborn “only keep the ball” philosophy. The Games versus Shrewsbury Town, FC Midtyland and More recently against Arsenal seem to indicate that .Gone were the boring ding dong passing along game and Returning albeit slowly was the fast paced counter attacking game of old.

Indeed it also looks like Memphis Depay has stepped up and altered his game as well. Whether this was because LVG had no choice but to play him due to the injuries or that Giggs has been doing some serious coaching to guide and develop him as a player.

Picture courtesy of https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwjXoaXx_6rLAhVNj44KHc6iDbYQjB0IBg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.independent.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Feuropean%2Fmemphis-depay-to-real-madrid-manchester-united-trolled-over-inevitable-departure-10461693.html&bvm=bv.116274245,d.c2E&psig=AFQjCNFDzDc8WUDuo_c1_YQuwjh7jr91Gg&ust=1457317222828884

However it may seem, LVG also seems to have altered the formation to a direct 4-2-1-3 formation where Mata is playing directly behind Memphis, Lingard and Rashford. All 3 forwards are making nonstop runs into the opposition penalty box where else before this it was more about possession football.

Juan Mata also looks like he has been given more emphasis and has finally been put in his best position. Behind the stiker.Mata is and always will be a no 10.He also seems to have increased his work rate and is actually pressing and winning the ball back at times. His link up play with the midfield and the strikers is just brilliant.

Picture courtesy of https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwijyra6gKvLAhVJCY4KHRr4ChMQjB0IBg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.goal.com%2Fen%2Fnews%2F1862%2Fpremier-league%2F2015%2F09%2F26%2F15735272%2Fmata-united-players-have-grasped-van-gaals-methods&bvm=bv.116274245,d.c2E&psig=AFQjCNENHnv1uyFHQWgeYBRirMZYqIq51A&ust=1457317372994137

Whether it is out of desperation or because he is being backed into a corner, this is absolutely bringing the best out of LVG. His “dive” on Sunday was outrageous and he seems to be eating into the media quite often, moving the spotlight out of his team. Which has indeed benefited them.

My rallying cry to LVG…..Please keep the faith with the kids. You have won 2 titles with the Ajax Kids. You made them into the superstars they are today. So please continue that tradition and do not change the style of play. We should always ATTACK!!!!.
